Please check if you need an entry visa for Japan. Nationals and citizens of those countries and regions shown in Exemption of Visa (Short-Term Stay) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan are not required to obtain visas to enter Japan for short-term stays. Visitors from outside these countries must apply for a visa in advance.
If you need an entry visa for Japan, please follow these two steps:
- Step 1
Please fill in ITC-Asia23_visa_assistance_request_form and send it to pc2023@itc-asia.info.hiroshima-cu.ac.jp or itc-asia2023@googlegroups.com as soon as possible. This information is necessary to prepare your documents for visa application. We will send you back the necessary documents. ITC-Asia 2023 Organizing Committee will provide the visa letters for this international symposium only to:
- Speakers / Presenters,
- Committee Members,
- Attendees.
If you will be accompanied by someone else, please give us the necessary information about them. In general, you can apply for visas together, but in some cases you must apply separately. Please ask the nearest Japanese Embassy/Consulate.
- Step 2
Please submit the documents, which include the necessary ones we will send, to the Japanese Embassy/Consulate. They will process your documents and decide on your visa application.
According to this page, the time required from visa application to visa issuance is 5 working days from the day following the date of receipt of the application, provided that there is no particular problem with the content of application. Meanwhile, it may take longer than usual if a large number of visa applications converge at a short-time period. So, please send the ITC-Asia23_visa_assistance_request_form as soon as possible if you need an entry visa.
